Saturday morning and I am writing report cards. Just wading through all of your graphs and conclusions and mean, median and mode questions on the pumpkin information. You're getting it! Graphing (test) evaluation assignment on Monday and MMM evaluation assignment on Tuesday for your final (REAL) report card mark.

Please remind me change the seating groups this week. I think you've earned it.

Homework:

  • Tuck Everlasting - Let's talk about projects on Monday. I don't mind if you do one with a partner and let's put off the presentation until Tuesday of NEXT WEEK - Dec. 1. That way, we can work without stress.
  • S.S. - Mapping pages are STILL DUE on Tuesday so we can mark and get on with making our own maps in an artsy way.
  • Math - factoring questions STILL DUE on Tuesday so I can mark them.

Phrase that pays (in your planner on today's space): I know the difference between a prime and composite number and I can prove it. 18 is ___________. 17 is __________.

Remembrance Day and there's no snow!

An important reminder: Thursday is 80s Day. I hope so, at least, because I'm going dressed up and it would be a bit awkward if it weren't the actual day. So, everyone, please come dressed as 80s characters so I'm not alone!

We are studing the art of different cultures and learning about international days of celebration.

Homework:

Tuck Everlasting vocabulary - only 4 words, so make them good!

Math: Finish mean, median, mode worksheet, due Thursday.

No new POW this week, since it's a Wednesday assignment. I hope everyone handed in their last week's (clock chimes) for marking.

Phrase that pays (in your planner on today's space): Mrs. Grout was a different person in the 80s.

See you tomorrow!

Tuesday, Nov. 3

Apologies for not keeping this up regularly! Good for you who look for it
daily.

Photos came back today. Interesting choice of backgrounds! Now we see why
the 'no green' message was sent out. The orders are due back on November
10.

We had a great bout of pumpkin measuring and this week have been working
with the data to find median, mode, and mean/average.

Leading up to Remembrance Day, we have been learning about children's
rights so that we have some background for our poster, poem and prose
entries for the Legion contest.

Homework:
Math - mean, median, mode of pumpkin seeds, due Thursday
Tuck Everlasting - 3 questions for Ch. 15-19, due tomorrow

Phrase that pays: Jacob lost his shoulders!

See you tomorrow!
