Soggy Saturday morning!

We are going to have a very busy final week before spring break.

We will finish our pioneer journal covers and start and finish a healthy living poster. We will work very hard on t-tables and number patterns and, hopefully, start on factors and multiples to set us up for division the first chance after spring break.

Homework:

  • Novel study projects are due on Wednesday so that they can be presented on Thursday and Friday!

Thursday evening.

Looks like everyone had a good day at the hill. Rosy cheeks and smiles everywhere!

Apology: I am soooo sorry about February's milk order. I keep them in a large envelope until the 'due date' because the office doesn't want them to dribble in bit by bit. Unfortunately, I was in Mrs. McQuair's room when they were requested and didn't hear the announcement. They are still there and I will apply the money inside to March's order. Sorry again.

Homework:

S.S. - map corrections. Due tomorrow, I hope, because we're going to look at them together!

Phrase that pays (in your planner on today's space): Cupid's arrows are flying in our class!

See you tomorrow!

Tuesday of a very busy week.

Tomorrow, we have our first of three FreedomQuest sessions. Some of the kids met Bonnie after school today.

Thursday is ski/snowboard day. I will remain in Mrs. McQuair's classroom and she will take my students to the hill.

Friday is fake Valentine's Day. We will work work work in the morning and watch The Sound of Music, a combination of love and Naz soldiers, in the afternoon. Students may bring Valentine cards to school and, of course, cookies and other treats are welcome.

To top it all off, this week I am collecting data for the second term report cards. We have started a cumulative math test, which we will finish tomorrow or Friday, depending on student progress. After several test runs and feedback, I will be using this and next week's Golden Line and written responses as part of the language arts mark.

S.S. test on mapping Tuesday, Science FINAL experiment and evaluation of the scientific process next week, (Monday, maybe) and there we are!

Homework:

Reading: Snow Treasure - read chapters 19, 20 and 21 and write Golden Lines, using the new guidelines as your checklist.

S.S. - correct all pages in your mapping workbooks and be ready to ask questions about concepts about which you are uncertain. Get yourselves ready for the final test!

Goals - Ready?

Phrase that pays (in your planner on today's space): Is the work to make up a ski day worth it? (Just the answer needed.)

See you tomorrow!
