Thoughtful Tuesday

We are thinking about writing assessments, decimals, fractions and per cents and our novel study, A Single Shard.

Homework:

  • Novel Study - What's Life Like? a comment on the story from Tree-ear's perspective, due tomorrow
  • Math - rounding and adding decimals, first two rows, due tomorrow
  • Home Reading (S.S.) - John Cabot, due tomorrow

Phrase that pays (in your planner on today's space): We will need a four day week-end after all this homework.

See you tomorrow!

Tuesday today.

What a wonderful set of Healthy Living posters. I have never - honestly - had a better overall project result. What a hard-working group of students!

Homework:

  • S.S. - Home reading - Lesson 1 - Flags, due tomorrow!
  • Math - long division - pages 144 and 145, 16 selected questions, due tomorrow!

Phrase that pays (in your planner on today's space): Something new for our novel study!

See you tomorrow!

Tiring Tuesday - only because we worked fairly hard!

Our posters are looking good!

WEDNESDAY IS GREEN BACKWARD ST. PATRICK'S DAY! Could it be any more complicated?

Homework:

  • Math - factors and factor trees, DUE TOMORROW!
  • Posters due on Monday

Phrase that pays (in your planner on today's space): No finished homework = no pays.

See you tomorrow!

Mopey Monday.

Today was pretty slow. An hour short of sleep and a week short of a 'regular' spring break. Our tails are kind of dragging.

Homework

  • Math - factors worksheet pages 24/25 due tomorrow
  • Health & Career - poster draft finished tomorrow and ready to move on to our great copy

Phrase that pays (in your planner on today's space): Will the Potter children meet the Whangdoodle?

See you tomorrow!

Sunny Sunday!

What a beautiful week it was! I was in Kelowna visiting and we got the rain, too, but beautiful otherwise.

So we're back tomorrow. Regular stuff. Start something new in most subjects.

Are you back, Sam?

Phrase that pays (in your planner on today's space):  Maybe we have accidental new groups.

See you tomorrow!

Whew! Wednesday

Posters are in full swing and are looking great!

Our pioneer 'journal' book covers are nearly finished.

Some novel study projects have been brought in and look pretty interesting.

Homework:

  • Novel study project - projects due tomorrow; presentations start tomorrow afternoon. You need to have a prepared speech for your presentation.

Phrase that pays (in your planner on today's space): The 'battle' will be fun! No blood will be shed.

See you tomorrow!

Marvellous Monday!

BIG CANCELLATION: THE FREEDOMQUEST PROGRAM PARENT MEETING, ORIGINALLY PLANNED FOR TOMORROW NIGHT, IS CANCELLED. WE WILL RESCHEDULE IT FOR AFTER SPRING BREAK WHEN STUDENTS HAVE THEIR HEALTHY LIVING ADVERTISEMENTS READY TO SHOW.

HOMEWORK:

  • Novel study projects are now due on THURSDAY a.m. instead of Wednesday. That will give us two in-class periods to work on them. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT SOME WORK AT HOME WON'T BE NECESSARY!

Phrase that pays (in your planner on today's space): My project is a ______________. (Write the last word only.)

See you tomorrow!
