Soggy Sunday

We had a great Friday with everyone working hard and accomplishing much! The haunted house was very well done!

Upcoming Events: Visit to the Nikkei Interment Centre on Wednesday. Thank you, so many parents, for volunteering to come along! Dress warmly!

We aren't having a Hallowe'en party. We will work really hard tomorrow and on Tuesday, sugary sweet students will have a lighter agenda, although we do have preparations to make for Wednesday!

Homework: Novel study - Golden Lines are due tomorrow. Novel study projects are due Monday, Nov. 7. Only one of the two projects described; not both.

Upcoming Events: We are planning a field trip for next Tuesday or Wednesday (Nov. 1 or 2) to visit the Nikkei museum - the Japanese internment centre museum during World War II. The date is yet to be confirmed, so watch for a permission and participation slip!

Upcoming Events:
Parents, tomorrow student portfolios will be coming home. This is instead of student-led conferences, which would not all fit into the allotted time. Only students whose parents I wish to see will have a conference.

Friday is a provincial professional development day. I will be going to Kelowna to take in a session in critical questioning skills.

Photo retakes are this week, if anyone wants/needs them. Tomorrow and Wednesday are early dismissal days. The in-town buses will run at 2. Down-the-lakers will catch the usual Southern Zone bus.
